Keysville is where two of Southside Virginia's main roads meet, and it is home to Southside Virginia Community College. That makes it a stopping point for a lot of Charlotte County. It also means a mix of housing: older houses close to town, newer homes and manufactured homes on the roads out, and working farms with barns, spigots, and outbuildings that need water too.
For us the crossroads is convenient. Keysville is on the way to Farmville, Meherrin, and Victoria, so we are through town often. That helps when you need someone quickly, and it makes it easy to group smaller jobs like a faucet or toilet repair with other work nearby.
